Focus Lock Support

Getting started

  1. Open Focus Lock and complete onboarding.

  2. Tap “Allow Screen Time access” and approve Apple’s prompt.

  3. Open Locks, create a lock, and choose apps and sites with Apple’s picker.

  4. Save the lock, then use “Start now” for a manual lock or configure a schedule.

Restore Screen Time access
If access was declined or removed, open iOS Settings, go to Screen Time → Apps with Screen Time Access, turn Focus Lock back on, then reopen Focus Lock and tap Check again.

Locks and schedules
Make sure the lock is enabled, not paused, and has at least one app, category, or website selected. Scheduled windows must be at least 15 minutes for Apple’s Device Activity monitoring. If a schedule does not register, close and reopen Focus Lock, verify Screen Time access, and retry.

Remove a shield
Return to Focus Lock and use Safety release for immediate access. You can also remove Focus Lock’s Screen Time permission in iOS Settings.
