Focus Lock Privacy Policy

Focus Lock: Block Distractions (“Focus Lock”) is provided by Sacred Pathway LLC (“Sacred Pathway,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Focus Lock.

The short version

Focus Lock does not require an account and does not operate an app backend. It does not include third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, crash-reporting, or telemetry SDKs. Focus Lock does not sell user data, use advertising tracking, or track users across other companies’ apps or websites.

Information stored on your iPhone

Focus Lock stores the information needed to provide its features locally on your iPhone. This may include your locks, schedules, settings, unlock requirements, tasks, habits, chores, workouts, completion history, overrides, and recovery history. If you choose to protect an accountability approval with a passphrase, Focus Lock stores a salted cryptographic hash rather than the passphrase itself.

Focus Lock and its Screen Time extensions share local state through an Apple App Group on the same device. Sacred Pathway does not receive this information on a server. Apple device backup or operating-system services may handle app data according to your device and Apple Account settings; those services are controlled by Apple.

Screen Time and Family Controls

Focus Lock uses Apple’s Family Controls, Device Activity, Managed Settings, and Shield APIs solely to provide the focus and blocking functions you request. You choose apps, categories, or websites with Apple’s Family Activity Picker. Apple represents those choices to Focus Lock as opaque tokens rather than providing the ordinary names of the selected apps or sites.

Your Screen Time selections and opaque tokens are stored locally in Focus Lock’s shared on-device App Group. They are not transmitted to Sacred Pathway servers. You can remove Focus Lock’s Screen Time permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Notifications and diagnostics

Focus Lock may request permission to send local notifications about lock timing, completed requirements, or conditions that need attention. These notifications are scheduled on your device. The current version does not register for remote push notifications.

Focus Lock uses Apple’s unified logging system for local diagnostic messages that help identify operational failures. The app does not include a third-party crash-reporting or telemetry SDK and does not transmit these logs to a Sacred Pathway backend. If you contact support, you may choose to share details needed to investigate your request.

Analytics, advertising, and third parties

Focus Lock does not contain analytics, advertising, attribution, social-tracking, or third-party telemetry SDKs. It does not sell or rent personal information and does not use your Focus Lock data for targeted advertising.

Accounts and purchases

Focus Lock does not require or provide an online account. The current version does not contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Data retention and deletion

Your Focus Lock information remains locally on your iPhone until you edit or delete it, use the app’s available controls, or remove the app, subject to any Apple device backups you control. Deleting a lock may preserve its local history so you can continue to review your own activity. Because Sacred Pathway does not maintain a server copy of Focus Lock data, we ordinarily cannot retrieve or delete that local information for you.

Security

Focus Lock relies on the safeguards provided by iOS and Apple’s Screen Time frameworks. Protect your device with a passcode, keep iOS updated, and only grant Screen Time access on devices you control. No method of storage is completely secure.

Children’s privacy

Focus Lock does not create online accounts for children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information on a Sacred Pathway server through the app. A parent or guardian is responsible for deciding whether Focus Lock is appropriate for a child’s device and for managing Apple Screen Time settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to Focus Lock, legal requirements, or our practices. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective or last-updated date.
